Introducing Joe Taylor, Angel Band sponsor

Today, Joe Taylor “joined the band” as a sponsor of our project.  His  St. Louis law firm, Taylor & Taylor, provides legal services for victims of rape and violent crimes. Joe and his father, William Edward Taylor, are considered leaders in the community for getting resources and retribution for those victimized by sexual crimes.

Joe is an active Board Member of the Crime Victim Advocacy Center of St. Louis, which is the country’s oldest victim service agency. He has spent countless hours providing free service and legal advice to rape crisis centers, and he is excited about getting involved and providing support for our project.

Welcome to the band, Joe!  We’re thrilled to have you on board.

Teresa’s tribute album, take one.

Listen to a track. (an original song from Teresa’s niece & her husband.)

We had our first live recording in St. Louis with Teresa’s siblings, parents, nieces, nephews and friends.  It was an amazing event, and it all took place in the living room of Teresa’s parents’ house.  We went from dawn until dusk, and captured nearly a dozen songs that day.

The sound crew from American Mobile drove down from Chicago to do the recording, which was all engineered from their truck parked in the Butz’s driveway. Thanks to Chris and his crew for being such rock stars.

With guitars, drums, percussion instruments, a piano, and microphones strewn throughout the first floor, it was the perfect setting for a good old fashioned hootenany. It was an emotional, yet healing, experience for us all. There were laughs, tears, ungodly amounts of food and, of course, lots of beer.

We promise to get some video and song clips up soon. We’ll keep you updated as things keep rolling.
